CURRENT INTELLIGENCE The Phoenix Regime arose from a single man, Fleetmaster Hunter Davis. This man saw the utter suicide the Locusta Regime was about to go through as the empire expanded beyond the capacity of administration. After a battle between himself and Fleetmaster Karr, troops loyal to him split off and formed their own regime. Though Davis was killed shortly thereafter, Regent Swanstrom has taken the reigns of the Phoenix Regime, with Fleetmaster Dan Scribble at her side. In 2416, the Phoenix Regime had found the Locusta Regime being interested in a particular nebula. At first, it was learned that within the heart of the nebula was a planetoid rich in Letridium ore, which was slowly being pulled into their dimension. If the Locusta would find a way to harvest that mineral, it would allow them to greatly increase their dimensional travel capabilities. With the assistance from the unexpected appearance of the USS PROPHECY, the true plans of the Locusta Regime was uncovered. They intended to use the nebula to create an artificial dimensional wormhole, which was believed would be used by the Locustan forces to freely access other unreachable dimensions. Upon this realization, Captain Rakar (the Commanding Officer of the Phoenix Regime's forces) prevented the Locusta from completing their plans by making sure the newly created wormhole was permanently closed. The Phoenix Regime share the same vessel design as the Locusta Regime (for the time being) as all of their vessels are of Locusta origin.
