NEW ORDER

CURRENT INTELLIGENCE

The New Order was a conglomeration of some of the many races in the Dominion, a rogue group of Jem'Hadar, and an army of genetically engineered soldiers known by their Cardassian creator as the Hybrids.

With a fleet of their new Stiletto-class vessels, the New Order struck hard into the heart of the Dominion. Caught in the middle were most of the Federation colonies on the Gamma Quadrant side of the wormhole, as well as a Fleet of Starfleet vessels. This Fleet attempted to defend the Federation colonies but were wholly outnumbered, as well as caught in the middle of the fighting between New Order and Dominion forces. A reinforcement force which was sent through the Bajoran Wormhole was shattered by a strategic strike of New Order vessels.

Eventually the New Order fought Dominion forces back to the Founders' resident planet, while the remaining Dominion forces attempted to regroup om the Founders' vast territorial space. What changed the course of the war was the introduction of the Dominion's new Founder-class Bioships. After the Bioships' first appearance, the New Order began to slowly shrink in forces and support.

Currently Starfleet Intelligence believes that the majority of the New Order's military and political assets have gone underground, hiding from the vengeful might of the Founders.

Genetic Engineering

The New Order maintains a genetic engineering facility on VERITACE III. It is believed to be one of many such facilities scattered throughout the Gamma Quadrant, and probably beyond. These facilities work to create an army of super soliders - men and women with increased strength, agility, endurance and healing capabilities. The facility on Veritace III is throught to be under the auspice of Calem Jade - who has taken over where the Cardassian genetist Eran Hatvel left off. It appears that Calem Jade has created a new, master band of warriors, called the Tala'rhim. These genetically breed people are even more dangerous then their more ordinary counterparts. The Tala'rhim usually serve as elite assassins. They are under the sole commande of Calem Jade. So far the Tala'rhim have only be used against New Order defectors, only few have survived the first attack, among them Starfleet Officers Archer Sterling and Catherine Sterling-Jade. The overall success of the Tala'rim has been overwhelming. If they have been bred for any other purpose remains to be seen.
