GENERAL NOTES

Warhammer Class was developed as a suppliment to the Euphrates class. As the Federation grew, and the borders became further and further away from command, and with the expansions into the Beta, Gamma and Delta quadrants, a faster better equipped Runabout was needed to fill the role. Warhammer was designed as a multipurpose ship to be used on long range exploration ships, and installations far from Federation core worlds. Equipped with a limited use Transwarp drive, these ships are able to transverse the vast distances needed for crew and supply transfers to their home bases and ships. Warhammer class can also function in a fighter role, and as an aquatic shuttle. Having it serve multiple purposes saved room on starships of exploration, where space is at a premium.
