PERDITION-CLASS Line Frigate
Technical Specifications, Revision 01

| GENERAL NOTES In 2423, Starfleet entered new hostilities with the Dominion. Perdition class was swiftly developed authorized and built to combat the superior number of Dominion warships. While other classes were also gearing up their production runs, perdition was a from the keel- up warship designed for nothing but combat. In a normal setting, the ship would be classified as extreme overkill, but Starfleet operations and Engineering jointly developed a ship that could effectively breech if not full on crush enemy lines. There were zero amnemnities developed as part of this class, all available space going towards crew and weapons. The ships is equipped with redundant shielding and weapons. Its torpedo set up takes lessons from the past, and are manually loaded and fired. While most modern starships increase phaser outpuit by channeling them through the warp reactor, Perdition instead uses auxillary impulse reactors to power the energy weapons. The ship incorporates both energy based Ablative armor, such as the type widely used int he fleet today, and hull mounted armor used on the famed Defiant class. The addition of hull armor made the use of a biohull impossible as the systems were incompatible. Instead a living membrane was incorporated within the inner layers of the hull composite to aide in sealing any breach of the hull that may occure. This membrane feeds off of matter from the waste extraction systems and can fully replenish itself from just a single panel in a matter of days. The primary focus in this design was to stay away from Energy weapons and uses as much as possible. Even with a fully destroyed power grid, Perdition is capable of maintaining an orbit for 1 standard week using chemically fired thrusters, as well as firing its complete torpedo inventory. Even the uses of every day convieniences has been reduced or eliminated. To save on replicator power, A mess officer is assigned to these ships. Only him/her/hir and the command crew have access to replicators. The mess officer is responcible for choosing a meal selection for the crew. Even turbolifts are restricted. There are two shafts on the ship one forward and one aft. These lifts only go from top deck to bottom, any lateral travel must be done through corridors Because of the lack of turbo-lifts a series of stairwells are incorporated into the ship at equal distances along the length of the ship. With these designs it is far easier to take deck stairs up one or two levels than to go to a lift. The torpedo pod is detachable using maglocks for ease of replacement as well as upgrades. --
