NEBULA-CLASS mk II Intelligence Frigate
Technical Specifications, Revision 01
Starfleet Engineering, Utopia Planitia Shipyards, Sol

| GENERAL NOTES TThe Nebula class was originally designed as a transport for a separated non-warp capable Galaxy saucer section that became separated form its star drive section. As the Galaxy and Nebula classes were being designed, the Nebula’s design was changed to include its own saucer section to make it a compete ship. The Nebula is intended to supplement the Galaxy class’ abilities and with its more compact design to be created in greater number then the Galaxy. At the turn of the 25th Century, 15 of the original 50 Nebula Classed ships remained. 5 Intelligence Frigates are used for covert operations where detection would mean disaster. It is for this reason these ships are equipped with a cloaking device that hides the vessel during her covert observations. These ships are also used for the study of Post Industrial Societies, where planetary orbital satellites would detect a standard science or exploration ship. The other 10 Nebula class ships have a weapons platform instead of a sensor pod mounted above the saucer. -- | BASIC INFORMATION Class: Nebula mk II Number in Service: 5 Class Listing: VESSEL COMPLEMENT (STANDARD) Total: 750 PROPULSION SYSTEMS Impulse Propulsion System (IPS): Warp Propulsion System (WPS): Warp Speeds: Transwarp Speeds : TACTICAL SYSTEMS Phaser Systems: Quantum Torpedo Systems: Deflector Shield Systems: Bio-regenerative Hull Matrix: Ablative Armor OTHER SYSTEMS Transporters: Holodecks: Computers: Shuttlebays: Embarked Craft (standard): |
