| GENERAL NOTES With the Completion of the last Galaxy Class Dreadnought, Starfleet decided that a new 5th generation Dreadnought needed to be created to continue Starfleets strength pressence in the frontier. Far more economical and quicker to build than a battleship, a dreadnought serves the purpose of a heavily armed well defended platform for combat operations. These ships are also well suited for having a pressense of authority in areas of discontent. You will likely find dreadnoughts patrolling near disputed space. Lexington Class is the common evolution of starship design, taking the Dreadnought type into the 25th century. With a highly modular design, upgrades to Lexington can be bult at a shipyards, and installed with a minimal amount of downtime for the starship itself. This Class is Saucer Seperation Capable --
