GENERAL NOTES

The Horizon-class starship is primarily used for medical purposes.  It can, however, be configured as a transport ship. A Horizon-class starship carries a compliment of trained doctors and medical staff. A Horizon-class starship can carry a variety of equipment in its 27 decks and 7 cargo bays.

The Horizon-class starship has integrated bio-neural circuitry that allows for quicker response time and a variety of other functions that were previously unavailable. The starship's two warp nacelles propel it at a cruising speed of Warp 5 and at a maximum speed of Warp 9. A Horizon-class starship can maintain a speed of Warp 8.7 without placing a strain on the engines.

A Horizon-class starship can separated during emergency conditions. Unlike other starships a Horizon-class starship must reconnect at a starbase. While a Horizon-class ship is not specialized for an offensive role, it has a variety of weapons at its disposal to defend itself and its crew. Two personal holodecks are available to provide relaxation and other activities for the crew.
