GENERAL NOTES

Built to replace the out dated Prometheus class starships, Eclipse class uses much of what was learned from that class over its life span, and incorporates that knowledge into a new package. MVAM Systems are included in the new ship, but instead of 3 sections, Eclipse only seperates into 2. It was decided that three seperations were more cumbersome, and actually weakened the superstructure of the ship over time. Both the saucer and engineering hull are capable of seperate warp flight however, and pose a formidable opponent in a combat situation.
