ALLIANCE-CLASS Dreadnought

Technical Specifications, Revision 01
Starfleet Corps of Engineering - Archive File

GENERAL NOTES

The Alliance Class was built to replace the aging Star League Class and remaining Federation Class Dreadnoughts. Dreadnoughts serve as Capital ships in fleet operations, but are more economically feasible to produce in larger numbers. For this reason Dreadnoughts have been vastly more popular to Starfleet Budgetary committee's over the more traditional Battleship Type. Alliance class served Federation intrrests for many years before being mothballed in favor of the Galaxy class Dreadnought. These ships are still kept up to date, and like the Excelsior class the spaceframe was modeled after are highly adaptable to new technologies. Stafleet maintains a fleet of 15 Alliance class ships in mothballs waiting for the chance to serve once more.
