We would like to thank Youth.net and Linda Delzeit and Richard
Bisbey for the web-space they have so graciously given us. Youth.net
is an organization dedicated to the education of everyone from kindergarten
age through high school and beyond. We continue their efforts and
foster the belief that writing aids everyone in life. Our game is
a place for writers to learn and teach others.
GAME RIGHTS:
© The Star Trek Universe is a registered trademark
of Paramount Pictures. All Rights Reserved.
We are a non-profit group and we use the Star Trek universe only
as a base for our game. We believe in the copyright laws of the
United States and believe our endeavors are a nod to the creative
and spectacular work of the producers and related individuals of
the Star Trek franchise.
© This site and all information contained within are

of the FRPG. All rights are reserved. For individual (player's)
rights see the section below. No infringement on Paramount's rights
is intended.
This game was created in 1995 by Stephen R. Prest and Jeff M. Rook
for the purpose of creating a forum where people of all ages could
get together and share ideas based on the Star Trek Universe. We
continue to create and move forward with the dreams and hopes of
Star Trek's creator Gene Roddenberry. These ideas are expressed
in the form of a game based on posts written by the players that
all add up to a mini-novel. These posts revolve around missions
and starships of our own making.
All questions concerning copyrighted information should be sent
to the Federation Main Council Chairman. The Chairman is currently:
Melissa Matos.
PLAYER RIGHTS:
All new players automatically agree to, and are automatically protected
by, this statement upon approval of their character and assignment
to a training class:
"Members who post for the FRPG retain their copyright but
give a non-exclusive license to others to forward any message they
post, within the game. They also give the site operator the right
to archive or approve the archiving of game posts."
All other uses of messages posted to this game require permission
of the author.
This paragraph means that you retain your copyright privileges.
However, by posting your message, you give the FRPG the right to
archive your post. You also give other players the right to include
portions or all of you post in their posts, as long as the inclusions
are identified as being yours. Many times in a post this looks like:
[[Davo's]] and [[Mine]], or something similar.
A player's rights do not extend to material that was not created
by the individual player. Information intended for use by the game
is considered a part of the game's foundation (i.e.; rules, laws,
procedures) and cannot be separated from the game. Information such
as, but not limited to, starships created by that player will be
handled on a one-by-one basis. |
