He had a traditional Deltan upbringing and was instilled with strong morals at a young age. He was named after a historical Deltan conqueror, and always wanted to live up to the legacy of greatness. With this in mind he applied to Starfleet Academy, intent on one day becoming a great captain. Upon his graduation he entered the ACT program, and passed with flying colors. And so the eager young officer was assigned to the USS VALIANT, a Galaxy class vessel in the 4th fleet. 2 months to the day after his assignment the VALIANT participated in the defense of Vega IV. During the battle the VALIANT was destroyed. Seloron was one of only a hand full of survivors. The VALIANT's destruction, along with his subsequent internment in the Romulan prison camp left deep scars on the young Deltan that still have not fully healed. When he was liberated he felt he could not return to service on another vessel. Still, he had been raised not to quit, so rather than retire he joined the Diplomatic Corps, after some time off for additional training in the area. While serving with the DC he met Iliana. A few months later they were married, just over a year later they had their first child, Izain. In late 2417 Seloron was on a diplomatic mission when his ship was fired on as a result of misidentification. The conflict was brief with minimal damage, and no casualties, but for Seloron it was like the destruction of the VALIANT all over again. After several sessions with a counselor Seloron determined that he could not deal with that situation again. Still not willing to leave Starfleet he applied to become an instructor for the ACT program. Personality: Seloron is a quiet and diplomatic person. He is slow to anger and avoids conflict with others. He is known to be compassionate, and a good listener.
