Etallia has a strong attachment to her sisters
Katerina and Teresa. She was raised in the traditional
ways of a Betazoid by her parents, despite the fact
her father was Bajoran. However, because she is part
Bajoran, her empathic powers are not as strong as a
full Betazoid. She does not have the ability to
control, read or alter someone’s mind. She can feel
whether something is wrong or right and that’s not
often accurate. So most of the time, she uses her
instincts and logic to study the situation. Etallia
can communicate telepathically at a reasonable level
with other Betazoids. Etallia loved to learn and studied material that was beyond the standard Betazoid educational requirement. But she took limited classes in the development of her empathic abilities. Eventually she was able to complete her schooling, a year earlier than the supposed completion time for Betazoid children. This was because she did not have to go to the advanced classes for developing empathic abilities. Etallia had the desire to explore the universe and therefore, applied to Starfleet Academy. During her time at the Academy, Etallia developed a passion in Medicine, more specifically in the area of Biocybernetics and hence did it as her major. Etallia was also very interested in the field of Engineering and took a minor in the said area. During her time in the KITTY HAWK and the VICTORY, Etallia got the chance to travel to many places. She loved the adventure and the exploration involved as well as the chance to help people in need. During a humanitarian aid mission to a Federation colony by the VICTORY, Etallia visited an orphanage. There she met a beautiful new born baby girl and immediately fell in love with her. Etallia requested permission to adopt the child, which was granted. She named the child, Miranda. Etallia felt she needed a break from travelling around and decided to settle down. After accepting the offer to teach in Starfleet Academy, Etallia moved to Earth. She currently resides in a two-storey house, with her twin, Katerina and adopted daughter Miranda. Her sister Teresa visits her once in a while. Etallia has a sense of curiosity. She wants to know everything that goes around her. That doesn’t mean she likes to gossip. She is very firm in her decisions and it is very difficult for one to change her mind without having a strong argument. She believes in the importance of being a team player and co-operation. She tends to help people with solving their problems. Etallia loves taking on any kind of challenge. |
