Advanced Command Training represents the pinnacle of training at Starfleet Academy, available only to the very best cadets that institution can provide. While the majority of cadets finish their training at Starfleet Academy, graduate, and are assigned to the Fleet, a select few opt to try out for Advanced Command Training (thus they retain the rank of Cadet while others graduate and are promoted to Ensign). Those who succeed complete a grueling year course, in which they learn not only how to improve the skills they need as officers, but (more importantly) to become leaders. The finale of Advanced Command Training is an intensely realistic holodeck simulation (which you will experience in training). What is the advantage of the Advanced Command Training route? Once they complete ACT, cadets graduate and are placed in the assistant department head positions in the fleet, regardless of their rank of Ensign. Telekenetics, Shapeshifters and 'FRPG' races.
**Note: "FRPG races" (not including the races that are
the applicant's own creation) are defined as follows:
Races that do not occur within Star Trek canon (i.e.
the TV shows) but were created within the framework of
the FRPG for exclusive use in this game. These races
include but are not limited to: Andarans, Locusta
(including Phoenix Regime), Kem D'Neel, Sorel,
Sossetans, Supervisors, Taton, Thal.
**No player entering ACT training will be permitted to
choose one of the already created FRPG races for the
creation of his/her Playing Character (PC). This
limitation applies to pure-blooded as well as hybrid
characters and includes the PC's immediate ancestors
(parents, grand-parents).
To show you the diversity of "canon races" available,
we've compiled a list of commonly known and/or
frequently used races.
