Comments:
* On Friday, the equinox, our little town was completely cloud-covered.
On Monday (3/22), it was bright and sunny, so we took our measurements then. We calculated it had been 2 days since the equinox and the sun travels roughly .77 degrees of latitude north in that time. So, we recalculated our distance to that point .77 degrees north of the equator (where the sun would shine directly down a well)- and based our circumference on that distance.
