Snyder Latitude 49.15 Longitude: 122.6 Distance to Equator: 5470.5 km Measured shadow angle in degrees: 50.28 Calculated Earth circumference: 39168.78 Comments: On the 22nd of March, my class went outside and had supplies that were a 1. A bucket full of dirt 2. A stick with a string rapped around it with a fishing weight on the bottom 3. And a protractor to measure the degrees. You stick the stick straight up inside the bucket of dirt and get it lined up perfectly straight. Once you have done that you pick up the string and put it perfectly of the top of the shadow as tight as you can. once you have done that you take the protractor and put the middle of the protractor sideways with the middle of the protractor on the part of the rope that is still on the stick. Measure alng the rope nd you should have your degrees. WGSS RUGBY RULES
