Course Description:

PE 240abcd  is designed for those who do not know how to swim or who do not swim well enough to complete 25 yards nonstop of  front crawl, back crawl, and elementary backstroke plus tread water for 2 minutes.  This course covers those three strokes in depth along with jumping into deep water, turning over, turning around, survival floating, and a simple forward dive.
Section # and Meeting Time:   Section 8517 meets at the pool Saturdays from 8:00 to 10:05 am

Required Materials for Class:   Swimsuit, towel, goggles, and cap (for those with long hair).

Preventing Ear Infections:
If water remains in the outer ear, it will cause an infection within a couple of days.  In order to keep the outer ear dry you can do the following:

Grading:

Grades are awarded on total points obtained during the semester.  Points are given for attendance and for completed assignments.  Attending other swim or aqua aerobics classes at LATTC or ECC can make up days out of the water.  Be sure to get your make-up card from the instructor on duty.
