Directions to Post a New Discussion on a Forum
- Log into the virtual classroom. http://el-camino.remote-learner.net.
- Click on the forum assignment from the home page or the forums category link.

- Read all of the directions carefully. Not how the points are awarded and what is required to get full credit for that forum assignment.
- To post an original new discussion, click on the "Add a new discussion topic" button.
- Fill out the Subject box, the Message box, and click on Post to forum button.
Directions to Reply to a Posting in a Forum
- Enter the forum where you are required to post original messages and/or responses.
- Click on a posting that already exists in your forum: Sample:

- Read the posting and then decide what response you want to make. It is always a good idea to write your response in a word processing program where you can do spell and grammar checking. Later you can copy and paste the response into the Forum area in Moodle.
- Locate the Reply button in the lower right corner of the posting.

- Either type in your response or copy and paste from your response from a word processing document you previously prepared. Then click on the Post to Forum button.
You will have 30 minutes to edit your posting before it is released. If you see an obvious typing error or the copy/paste did not work correctly, you have time to make changes.
