OVERVIEW: I find that this activity is a relief from regular assignments. PURPOSE: The major purpose is fun. It also aids the students with map work. OBJECTIVES: None, really. TYING IT ALL TOGETHER: Some days nothing works in the classroom. It could be because of the first warm day, an important athletic contest, the day before a vacation, or, sometimes for no apparent reason. I use activities such as this one to salvage something out of these days.
